Contract Design Program Manager, April 2022 to Present

  • Led efforts to build a positive team culture, fostering a sense of connection and collaboration amongst the design team. Organized memorable team-building activities and established team rituals, resulting in a 75% increase in employee engagement. Improved communication and feedback channels, resulting in increased team performance and more successful project outcomes.

  • Built an automated Office Hours booking system using Coda that was replicated across the company, saving at least 24 business hours per week for the Design Team, Executive Assistants, Product Management, and Design Ops. This created direct lines for the VP of Design and increased efficiency for teams focused on ARPU.

  • Created a model to give managerial visibility into projects, statuses, and reviews from their individual contributors. To improve alignment and feedback tracking, the model documented all meeting notes and filed them in their relevant projects. This system successfully aligned our Product Management, Design, Creative, and Marketing Teams and allowed us to meet all major milestones in H2.

  • Brought together Product Design, Content Design, and Research Team Managers (4) to strategically align on decision-making and collaborate on the company’s high-priority initiatives. Implemented a regular meeting cadence and a private Slack group which increased collaboration and efficiency on the team.

Design Team Lead, January 2021 to March 2022

  • Improved designer performance which led my team to become the #1 performing design team in the company by developing strategies for 1:1 sessions, data reporting, weekly emails, and webinars at various levels.

  • Pioneered and developed a system to successfully manage a 60+ team of remote contract Interior Designers, resulting in a 6x designer sales increase in 2 months. Increased our reporting accuracy and performance tracking from ~5% to virtually 100%. Built an environment of care and collaboration that increased efficiency and teamwork between the contractors and the wider organization.

  • Developed and hosted the organization’s first virtual designer conference for 182 participants. Collaborated with key internal stakeholders, cross-functional partners, and external vendors. Led all creative marketing, branding, and presentation materials.

The Vine, Ltd.

Design Team Lead, August 2020 to October 2020

  • Actively supported the transition of the Creative Team Lead and multiple onboardings of new staff at the beginning of the Pandemic. 

  • Navigated a fast-paced and demanding environment with excellent results while maintaining internal team morale, which brought cohesion and clarity to the organization.

  • Led the first-ever cross-functional task force to assess The Vine’s accessibility for marginalized communities during COVID-19 and proposed practical steps for impactful and sustainable change.

  • Mentored and facilitated the professional development of designers and interns within the in-house Creative team.

  • Focusing on organizational development, built successful, sustainable processes that allowed designers space to create their best work while assuring that all cross-functional partners’ and leaders’ needs were met. 

  • Led design campaigns of the Creative Arts department, including event media, collaterals for print, web, digital media, social media, and installations for The Vine and its NGO, Branches of Hope.
